Playing bass is pretty much a surefire way to end up in several different bands at once. And who knows what style of music you'll be playing tomorrow. So why limit your bass tone to a single style that's good for just a few kinds of music. When you're rocking a Squier Telecaster Bass Special, you get the timelessly classy look of an old-school Tele Bass, plus an amazing range of tone that covers everything from booming R&B bass to the light and percussive sound of country-style tic-tac bass... and everything in between. How does it work? No voodoo here - just a pair of amazing pickups.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Has a new Fender icon been created?
I have played bass for nearly 40 years and have owned nearly every brand of instrument. My main axe is a custom Alembic and I cut my teeth on a 1966 Jazz Bass. I recently picked up this inexpensive bass as a travel instrument and am pleased. Though it does not match my Alembic in tone flexibility, and lacks heavy bottom end due to its short 32-inch scale, it produces some great punchy tone, especially played with a pick. Kudos to Fender for a nicely made $299 design that not only sounds good but has a true-to-the-original Telecaster body style. Try one and see if you like it.
