Awesome...worth more than the purchase price
Is this really a 5-star bass guitar? No...but for $170, I don't think you could get a better guitar and therefore, I feel that I have to mark it as "I love it!"
The black with the matching black headstock looks great! The tuners are actually very high quality and it stays in tune.
The neck is smooth, the frets are smooth and the sound is amazing.
This is the perfect bass for a guitarist looking for a bass in order to record bass lines behind your guitar recordings.

A good buy
I got this bass for my band because it was cheep. I thought we would keep it for a while and get a better, more expensive one after we got started. After we got started I didn't want a more expensive one because it rocked.
Great bass at an awesome price
4.9 stars. Good as can be
I wish it came with flat wound strings and had reasonably correct setup, but it can be remedied easily. For the price point, it is as good as anyone can expect it.
Short scale neck is very easy to adjust to the guitar player, even for the petite person like me won't have to fight with the head heavy instrument.
As for the sound, I wish the front pickup was a little bit more punchy, but as long as I am using the rear pickup it should be powerful enough. (I tried without any effects on Line6 practice amp)
Again, for this price point, don't hesitate to purchase this bass.
