Best bass guitar I've ever played!
It's true. I've played bass for 30 years and owned or played almost every brand of bass in that time. Granted, I've yet to play a Warwick Jonas Hellborg special(& I would really, really love to), but I also haven't managed to find $8000+ laying around either. However, I have played several $4000 basses over the years (classic Fenders, etc), and this one trumps their sound completely.
There are many reasons why I consider this one my all-time favorite. I will try to keep this brief and simple. I am writing this review bc I own this instrument and I want to encourage other people who may not know how good this thing really is to go to a store and try it. At least then you will know. great bang for the buck
This is a very good instrument for how much it costs. I have had mine almost a year. I needed a five string for the band I'm playing with, and at first I over shot and bought a 5-800 dollar Warwick RockBass. That bass played well, but the sound, style, and size of the body just didn't work for me. I couldn't adjust the sound at all, and for me I need a versatile instrument that can do many things. So I sold the Warwick and went to go check out a few. Although I fell in love with a Spector, I ended up going for this Jazz bass because I really don't play 5 string that much. I've been trying to show it more love here lately, but it's been getting to the point at gigs where I will just pick it up when I need it. So I didn't want to invest much into it.
Here's some things to know about this bass:
*5 string Jazz Basses have always had some of the chunkiest necks out there. This one is no exception. The neck is huge.
*It has wide string spacing. I typically cannot slap...
