The Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass '60s is an electric bass guitar that has all of the deluxe elements its Fender big brother did when first introduced in the 1960s: groovy offset waist design, narrow width, fast-action maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, 2 custom single-coil pickups with Alnico V magnets, individual volume controls that allow you to solo either pickup's sound or blend them for new sounds, and a master tone control for overall tone shaping.
With so many on offer these days, it is great to have a name you can trust. This item is certainly that and will be a perfect buy. The distributor have added some great touches and this equals great value.

Excellent bass at an affordable price!
This bass sounds and feels great. It came packaged safely and setup nicely out of the box with good action. It had a tag on the head stating the height of each string. It has that warm Fender jazz bass sound and the neck is fast and comfortable. Looks good too!
I tried a lot of basses in stores in a higher price range, but didn't get to try this one. After seeing so many positive reviews and videos online of this instrument I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did b/c it's definitely worth every penny.
Amazon and J&R world delivered it in less than 24 hours even though I selected standard shipping!

Very well-built instrument, ASTOUNDING value for your dollar.
I've played bass for 15 years, and owned a few. I make part of my living working on guitars, mostly 6-strings, but plenty of basses. I'm offering an informed opinion of this instrument, as both a player and a tech. I should also note that I'm generally a fan of Squier guitars, having owned many and worked on many more; I've got a better than average understanding of their (Squiers') strengths and weaknesses.
As a player- I love the snot out of this thing. It's solid, it's substantial, it's a proper Fender- you could effectively defend yourself with it, retune, and continue playing. It feels good, it plays well, it hangs properly. I love the vintage tint neck, although I deglossed it slightly on the back. I love the gloss finish neck on my CV 50s Strat, but I wanted something a little different on my J. It sounds like a Jazz Bass- Bridge pickup at 10, neck at 9, and let it growl. Hand this bass to a bass player in the dark, and he (or she) cannot tell you that it's not a...
Flawless, Great Value!
Over the past several decades I have owned lots of basses, including some very expensive ones (Sadowsky PJ5 and Lakland 55/94 fretless). None were set up or executed any better than this Squier CV Jazz.
I always do my own setups, so as soon as I received this one I went through it... everything was already set as I like it except the string height, which took only a slight adjustment to get to my preferred setting.
This is really a superb value. Get past the name on the headstock and try one, you'll buy it.
